When Drew Sloan and I did our roadshow of CAP meetings last winter, there were always people who came up at the end to ask questions. Sometimes there was even a queue.
Things have moved on a lot since then, and we thought it would be good to offer another opportunity for farmers, or anyone else with an interest, to put queries to us. So at the Royal Highland Show next Thursday afternoon, we’ve organised a CAP “surgery” in the Scottish Government pavilion. Anyone who’s at the show can drop in and ask us a question.
Of course there’s still a long way to go in the negotiations, and things could still change. In fact they’re certain to. But we hope you’ll find it helpful to be able to check where things stand at the moment, and what options are being discussed in Brussels.
